We work with a large range of materials, from Granite to Forest Stone, Marble, Bathstone and Slate, and you can choose from a range of colours, sizes and ornament. The majority of our work is carried out in Granite due to its durability and finish. When polished it is the material of choice for memorials. Other stones are used to match older memorials when repair or additions are required or simply because someone likes the material.
We can supply these materials in many formats from headstones (lawn or with kerb surround) to cemetery tablets, cremation tablets, vases and garden kerbs.
Our brochure shows many popular designs and colours of memorial, however the choice is vast and we can produce any memorial to any design and to any specification subject to cemetery regulations.
Jonathan is a time served letter carver and is able to cut different styles and types of letters by hand. This is particularly important when adding inscriptions to memorials as it ensures we can utilise the same style as the original lettering. We are able to cut letters in all styles and all languages.
All memorials are fixed to the NAMM code of working practise which ensures all memorials are safely and securely erected.
It is popular to add a photograph of the deceased to the memorial and we can now offer this in two different formats. The preferred style is for the image to be transferred onto a porcelain tile which is then adhered to the memorial behind a bronze frame. The newer option is to have the image actually cut into the stone in fine detail (this reproduces best on black granite).
We are able to add inscriptions to to any existing memorial. We prefer to visit the memorial to assess the work required before we offer any estimate as there are many variables which affect the cost. If you provide us with location of the grave, the existing name on the memorial and some idea of what you would like added we will visit the grave and provide a free of charge, no obligation estimate.
Memorial renovations are a very rewarding part of our work. To take a tired and weathered memorial and return it to its original glory can be a painstaking job but the results speak for themselves. Again, provide us with a few details and we will provide you with a free of charge, no obligation estimate.
